4615's Exit the King

I'm proud to have worked on producing and set/prop designing 4615's winter production of Eugène Ionesco's Exit the King, which opened this week! Here's what some critics had to say:

"If the prospect of a royal leader grappling with his demise sounds like a downer of a premise, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the downright zany humor – veering into the slapstick realm – that pervades the production. Macabre the subject may be, this is a capital “C” comedy that offers plenty of big laughs along with its unsettling reminders." - DC Theatre Scene

"Exit the King is an intimate theatergoer’s performance paradise. You can touch the actors, feel their dying breath, and get knocked in the knees when they fall. If that’s not enough reason to check it out, then see them for the pure audacity of it: young theatre artists plus a rarely done great play equals a theatre group with a future....Particular praise needs to go to whoever did the simple yet effective sketches for the Doctor’s various lazzi." - DC Metro Theatre Arts
